If you need any type of transportation, such as help moving furniture or a ride to the airport, please fill out this form and email your request to peter@hcchinese.org. We require at minimum 2 business days notice in order to process the request. HCC cannot guarantee that we can meet your request, be we’re happy to try. A suggested $10 donation is requested for transportation services.

HCC does not have furniture during the school year, but if you need something specific, we are happy to help you find what you need or provide transportation to a store to purchase it. We go shopping every Saturday morning at 10:00am. Email Peter to submit your request: peter@hcchinese.org

Give Furniture

HCC welcomes donations of gently used furniture. All gifts are tax deductable and will be given to Chinese students and families to help them settle into their new Minnesota homes. The summer is the time of greatest demand for furniture and we collect furniture in our basement May-August. We are able to pick up your donations with our van, though if you can deliver it yourself that is helpful. Items such as beds, desks, and light-weight couches, dressers, tables, chairs, etc. are the most useful. During the school year we can list your available items on this page and HCC will connect you with students who may want your item. Students are encouraged to re-donate furniture when they are vacating their apartments.

华夏之家欢迎您捐赠使用过但保存比较好的家具。所有的捐赠都是免税的并给予那些中国学生和学者，帮助他们在明尼苏达建立他们的家庭。每个夏季是家具需求的旺季，在六月到八月期间，我们把家具收集于我们的储藏室并分发出去。如果您能把家具送到华夏之家，那会很有帮助，如果您不方便亲自送，我们也可以用我们自己的车上门去取。床、书桌、比较轻的沙发、衣柜、餐桌、椅子等最有需求的。在新的学年，我们可以把您的捐赠品放到我们的网页上，如果有学生需要，我们会联系您。我们也鼓励学生们在离开他们的住处时再次捐回他们的家具。

Receive Furniture

HCC is glad to help you furnish your home- we know that it is hard to bring a bed and desk on the airplane! September–May you may see what is available here on this page. If you have a specific need, please email us and we will help you locate the item. During the summer our basement becomes a furniture warehouse, and we welcome you to come by to see. We can help you to deliver the items with our van and driver. The furniture is free and is donated by local Christian families.

Rental Space

If you need a large meeting area or a place to host a party, consider using space at “China Place.” Regular rental fee is: $25/hour.
