HCC hosts activities to encourage Chinese and American friends to gather together for friendship and fellowship. Most of our events are free or have a minimal cost to cover expenses. Join us to experience Minnesota life. Events include: lake outings, sports, shopping, and opportunities to explore Christianity.

- Welcome Picnic (No registration needed)August 28th 4-7:30pm
The “Welcome Picnic” is designed to welcome new and returning Chinese students for the start of the school year. It’s a good chance for senior students to share their experience with freshmen and connect with American friends. Last year we had over 400 friends join. If you would like to volunteer for this event, please email peter@hcchinese.org. Click here for more information. *A shuttle from the Minneapolis campus will be provided. Check back for exact shuttle times and locations. Or you can take the #3C bus.

monthly events
Friendship Meals
Friendship Meals are a special monthly event at HCC. Chinese and American friends come together for a dinner and program. The dinners are provided by local churches and are free to all. The programs vary- sometimes we have a special speaker or an interactive group game. We also celebrate Thanksgiving and Christmas together with traditional food and music.
Friendship Meals are held on the 3rd Saturday of each month (September - May). Dinner begins at 6:00 pm. After dinner we provide free childcare. The dinners are held at HCC. Rides are available, just ask and we'll come pick you up!
