Are you looking for a place to improve your English and practice conversation with friendly people? How about learning to cook classic, American food? HCC offers a variety of classes that are fun and educational. Classes are held throughout the week. We look forward to seeing you in one of our upcoming classes.

English Classes

“Ask Anything” Bible Study

“Ask Anything” Bible Study will resume January 17 on a new night of the week, Tuesdays instead of Thursdays.  This discussion-oriented group is open to all who may have questions about the contents of the Bible or questions regarding Christian beliefs or practices.  It also is a great place to practice conversational English and make new friends. The start time is 7:00 p.m. and it usually concludes between 8 and 8:30 p.m. For further questions or for assistance with rides, contact Pastor John Hutton at John@hcchinese.org. No course registration required.

Ask Anything” Discussion Group. Thursdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

When: Continues weekly ‘til further notice

Bring any questions you like about the teachings of the Bible. Come take a look at the book that is history’s all-time best seller, dealing with every issue of life that people face. John Hutton meets with Chinese students for interesting discussions, and you can practice English in the process, make new friends and learn about American culture. If you don't feel ready to discuss, just come and listen! There is no charge and we will provide you with either an English or a Chinese Bible of your choice to keep.

Language/Friendship Partners

HCC has American people interested in learning about Chinese culture and having a Chinese friend. This program designed to be a joint sharing of culture, language, and friendship. Language partners meet at least 2x per month to practice English conversation and spend time together. Some Americans also want to learn Chinese. This is a great way to meet a new friend and share your unique background

Our teachers are all volunteers who bring enthusiasm and life experience to their classroom. Teachers range in age from college students to retired professionals.
